The Cottage: Self Catering Mull

Island of Mull, Scotland

Self catering Mull cottage Traigh Mhor was built as a traditional working croft and has been rebuilt and refurbished by our family over the last 40 years. Traigh Mhor – meaning large shore or beach in Gaelic – is the name of the bay in front of the cottage.

Packed with charm and character, the cottage offers cosy and comfy accommodation for self-catering on Mull with stunning views of the bay, the wilderness of Burg and Ben More, Mull’s highest peak.

It’s well-placed on the Ross of Mull to explore the spectacular scenery and beautiful beaches and the south west corner of Mull, as well as further afield. View our location page

Once a working croft, today the cottage offers comfy self catering accommodation on Mull for six.

We had a lovely week on Mull. We had a wonderful day on Iona, tramping through bogs to find secluded bays, also a spectacularly beautiful day on Ardalanish beach where we body boarded, made a huge sandcastle and flew our kite. We did the Carsaigo Crags walk and saw loads of wild goats, and drove every road on the island on a big figure of 8 drive, stopping in Tobermory, at the Bellachroy Hotel and at Calgary Bay.  The cottage was perfect – just beautiful inside and out, and really well equipped. We really enjoyed our time there.
