Guests' comments

Guests’ comments at Traigh Mhor self catering cottage are really important as we want our visitors to have a great stay inside, and out. Our old cottage offers comfy and cosy Isle of Mull accommodation for holidays. We’re not perfect … we don’t have en-suites or the latest HD television. However, we offer great views and lots of character, as well as a homely, warm welcome.

But don’t just take our word! Read what our guests say about their stay. Here’s a selection…

I’ve had a fantastic week in Traigh Mhor. I’ve been out walking everyday, today it was to Scoor where I was lucky enough to see an adder basking in the sunshine ! Also managed a decent photo of an otter at Lochbuie just magic. As for the cottage itself, loved it, very well equipped and cosy. I hope to use the cottage at some point next year as the Ross has been a revelation , I even managed to see the Hen Harrier although only once maybe next year he’ll not be as elusive. Thanks for the chance to enjoy a great break on the best island anywhere!

We had a lovely time. The weather was mixed (as expected!) but it certainly didn’t stop us doing anything. The house was lovely. Some great additions since our last stay (when the aga was still in place). We very much appreciated the open fire! We hope to stay again at some point.

We had a lovely time at your cottage on Mull.  We would rate our overall stay at Traigh Mhor as a 5.Cleanliness – 5; Facilities – 5* ; Local info – very useful – 5.

We were very lucky with the weather – very little rain.  Also a breeze on most days which kept the numbers of midges low.  We had a lovely day on Iona, found some great beaches and had some great walks.  Our favourite beach was Traigh Gheal – well worth the walk.

We had a wonderful stay and everything worked perfectly.  Your cottage is so beautiful, and I don’t think we could ever tire of the view from the kitchen. Thank you.  We’re up again in the summer, but sadly for us you’re completely full, but hopefully we’ll make it back to Traigh Mhor next year.

We had a wonderful week. The weather was fantastic – the best we have had all summer. Traigh Mhor was great ,very peaceful.

RS, Ayrshire, October

Traigh Mhor could not have been more comfortable. Breakfasts in the kitchen were hard to end, with magnificent views of Burg and (sometimes) Ben More, and watching the sun rise. But the lure of an open peat fire, and good books, meant we made full use of the sitting room each evening. We were lucky to have beautiful weather – our rain gear was totally unused – so we really had a wonderful time.

Another wonderful stay at Traigh Mhor. We were very blessed with the weather. We had some glorious days to savour the beauty of Erraid , Iona and Traigh Gheal. As always, the croft was a beautiful place: warm, snug and just home from home … two weeks gave us the chance to really unwind.

The P Family, Staffordshire, August 2015

We had a fantastic time, catching up with old friends and taking in the views and walks. The cottage was great and the kids just loved it, we’ll certainly be in touch again..maybe even this year!
