The 2016 Season includes
Mendelssohn on Mull Festival 2016
The festival, founded by renowned violinist Leonard Friedman in 1988, takes its name from Mendelssohn’s visit to the Western Isles in the 1820s, inspiring him to write his Hebrides Overture. The festival features young musicians, coached by experienced mentors. Concerts are spread across the island and are free to attend. The festival runs on Mull from Monday July 4th to Friday July 8th and finishes with a final concert at St John’s Cathedral in Oban on Saturday July 9th.
