Ferries to Mull and getting to the island
Ferries to Mull are operated by Caledonian MacBrayne, based at Gourock.
The crossings to the Traigh Mhor holiday cottage are:
1. Oban-Craignure – approximately 45 minutes
2. Lochaline-Fishnish – crossing takes 15 minutes and is a cheaper option, however, it is a longer drive to Lochaline, and to the cottage when you arrive on Mull at Fishnish. You may also need to take the Corran ferry from Fort William to reach Lochaline.
3. Kilchoan-Tobermory - the best ferry crossing if you are coming from the north.
In high season, you’ll need to book the Oban ferry both ways. But reservations are advised year-round as some sailings do fill up fast. It is not possible to book the Lochaline-Fishnish ferry.
