How to get to Mull

Map of Mull and how to get here

Mull is on the North West coast of Scotland, south of Skye, north of Islay and Jura. It is part of the Inner Hebrides, and to get to Mull you need to catch a car ferry.

The most direct route is from the port of Oban – Gateway to the Isles – which is a two and a half hours’ drive from Glasgow. This crossing is 45 minutes and brings you to Craignure on Mull’s east coast.

But you can also get to Mull:

  • from Kilchoan (Ardnamurchan), arriving in Tobermory, Mull’s capital in the north east
  • from Lochaline, Morvern, which is about one and a half hours drive from Fort William, bringing you to Fishnish on Mull.
